At Long Last, Lindsay Lohan Is Getting a Reality Show

Celebrities

Years into her apparent self-imposed exile in Greece, Lindsay Lohan is finally using it to put her name on the pop culture map. A new MTV reality show, currently untitled, will be set at the newly opened Lohan beach club, which followed her eponymous nightclub and, if you listen to Lohan, is just the beginning of her Greek nightlife empire. According to The Hollywood Reporter the new show doesnt yet have a premiere date, but its been in the works for some time; Lohan hinted at the possibility of a reality show in last months revealing New York Times profile, and now MTVs Bunim/Murray are on board to produce it. The show will follow Lohan and her staff throughout their daily tasks at the beach club, and probably after hours as well.

This isnt the first time Lohan has been connected to a reality series: in 2008, Bunim/Murray produced a show titled Living Lohan that followed the lives of her mother and sister. Bunim/Murray have had a lengthy relationship with MTV and reality television that spans The Real World, Road Rules and Making the Band. Lohans mother Dina Lohan has been sticking with the reality TV fold, hanging out with numerous Real Housewives and fueling constant speculation she might join the cast.

The younger Lohan has been keeping a low profile in the U.S. in recent years, living in Dubai and developing and then abandoning a new accent, as well as occasionally making her way to work in film and television. She directed a few episodes of Sick Note, the second season of which premieres next week on Sky Atlantic. Her Mykonos beach club is only the first of multiple clubs on the Greek islands, as she also has plans to open one on Rhodes and perhaps design a new island in Dubai. You know, everyday stuff.
