Speaking to ComicBook.com, Joe revealed he would choose the caped crusader as his preferred DC superhero to direct because he has fond childhood memories of him: As far as what I collected as a kid, I collected Batman. [That] was one of the DC characters I collected. So it would have to be Batman.
Russo didnt discuss his take on Batman, though judging by his work on Avengers it would be a no-expense spared action bonanza.
The future of Batman movies is a little up-in-the-air at the moment, following Ben Afflecks exit as both the director and hero for the next slated movie, aptly titled The Batman.

Matt Reeves, who is responsible for the recent Planet Of The Apes films and 2008s Cloverfield, is currently at the helm of the new film, though weve still no idea who will play the title role.
Warner Bros has repeatedly pushed back The Batmans release date, which is now expected in 2021. The latest rumoured development claims the script is being reworked and filming wont even start until the beginning of 2020.
According to IMDb, the Russos are currently developing Cherry, starring Spiderman himself, Tom Holland.
