Ben Affleck will return to directing on WWII film Ghost Army, produced by and starring himself.
The 46-year-old is thought to have signed on for triple duties on the Universal Pictures film, four months after stepping down from Batman.
Following his part in Netflix film Triple Frontier, Ghost Army will be the first project Ben will be directing since he returned to rehab for a third stint to treat alcohol issues in August 2018.
Ghost Army will be a film based on the book The Ghost Army of World War II and following the Netflix documentary Ghost Army, about the US troops hired to dupe the Nazis in 1944.
During this recruits used inflatable tanks and sound-effects records to trick the Germans into thinking the enemy was stronger and larger than it really was.

According to Deadline, Madison Ainley will executive produce with Affleck alongside her.
Affleck is also thought to be reworking the screenplay and making a return to the big screen with his own acting role in the film.

Earlier this year, Ben teased multiple forthcoming projects in an interview with Collider.
Affleck revealed: I have multiple stuff in development and Im hoping to shoot something at the end of the year.
I have a couple of different things that are all in various stages of script, and outline, and finished script… well see which one comes together and who wants to make them.
