The Avengers: Endgame trailer may have Iron Mans Tony Stark wallowing over the end of the world via Thanos finger snaps, but some fans have become concerned over Black Widows hair.

Scarlett Johanssons character is known for her ever-changing hairdos between Marvel flicks, but a shift within the Endgame trailer has some wondering whether a speculated time jump will happen in the movie.

Evidence? One shot in the trailer shows Black Widow with the blonde bob she sported in Avengers: Infinity War opposite Steve Rogers, which is very acceptable and not out of the ordinary.

As she confronts Jeremy Renners Hawkeye, however, Black Widows hair appears to be a darker colour and pulled back in some fashion which seems unfeasible with the previous blonde bob.

So whats all the fuss about? Fans have been speculating whether Endgame will directly follow events from Infinity War – or if it could potentially kickstart years later after the snap.

While the first trailer led many to believe it would be a direct continuation, following the blonde haircut and Iron Man still in space, this fresh haircut could potentially indicate a time-jump of sorts will happen in the movie.

Interestingly if there is a time jump, what relevance will this give Hawkeyes reintroduction into the story? Is he going to become an unlikely saviour along with Paul Rudds Ant-Man?

Its also been speculated how Hawkeye/Clint Bartons family could have been wiped out in the snap, prompting a rebirth into new hero Ronin – which would perhaps only make sense after a significant portion of time.

Time travel has been a reoccurring theme with Avengers theories, and with Captain Marvel set to dive back to 1995, it looks like Marvel is blowing open the possibility.

Avengers: Endgame releases 24 April 2019.
