Stockport rock band Blossoms have their sights set on their own Netflix show – and want to recruit Noel Gallagher for the theme song.
The group have revealed they want to create a sitcom on their life on the road, and are hoping some of their famous mates could get on board with the production.
Hoping to pitch the show to streaming giant Netflix, the group are currently working on a script with the Royle Family creator, Craig Cash.

Seeing as both Blossoms and Craig are friends with Noel (with Noel even singing the now iconic theme song for the Royles), drummer Joe Donovan has revealed his hopes of roping in the music giant for their show too.

And the idea was thought up by another musician-turned-sitcom star – Monkees performer Mickey Dolenz.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Blossoms bassist Charlie Salt revealed: My uncle got The Monkees singer Mickey Dolenzs number as he knows them from when they used to drink in Manchester.

We told Mickey, “Were the new Monkees!” and now hes up for producing our show.
He added: Oasis did the theme for The Royle Family. When we said we knew Noel, Mickey said itd be great if we all got together to write the theme for our show.
Drummer Joel said theyd been approached by a few people to write a script about being in the band, adding, however, it was all posh comedians who pretend to be rock and roll by lying about being expelled from boarding school.

He added that he felt working with Craig Cash would be the perfect Northern alliance.
This wouldnt be the first time that the five-piece band have made the move from stage to screen, having completed a short film earlier this year.

In a mockumentary, the group went their separate ways and explored different future careers – including a football mascot and hip-hop artist.
However it was later revealed to all be a ruse and the barmy clip proved too weird to be believed.
Meanwhile theyre keeping themselves busy with their latest album, Cool Like You, released on Friday, and their upcoming UK tour.
