Boyzone have confirmed they will split after their next album, which will be dedicated to Stephen Gately.

News leaked yesterday that they would be officially splitting, but now the lads, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch have confirmed themselves that Boyzone will be no more.

They took to Twitter to tell fans their 25th anniversary album would be their last, revealing: The new is out and yes its true. Our new album will be the last for Boyzone. Weve had 25 amazing years and we promise you that this will be our biggest and best year yet.

According to The Sun, the album will feature songs Stephen Gately recorded before he died in 2009, as well as potential collaborations with Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.

Their decision to split was said to be agonising but the group decided it was the right time.
