BTS member J-Hope surprised fans with a live broadcast on his birthday.
The K-pop star, who turned 24, titled the 18 February broadcast as ‘Hang Out With J-Hope’, as he updated eager fans on what he’s been up to while thanking them all for their birthday wishes.
BTS lovers far and wide are eagerly awaiting the release of J-Hope’s mixtape, and you can’t blame them as he and his group members have been bringing it up frequently in the last year.
J-Hope said: ‘I’m working really hard on it. I think I can say [it’ll be released] soon. I worked really hard. You can say that I spent all of last year on the mixtape.’
He added: ‘I think you guys will like it. I know the more I say things like this, the more you guys will anticipate it.’
But the singer, real name Jung Ho-seok, mentioned that he still has to mix tracks – so fans will have to wait a bit.
The live broadcast may have had super-fans suspicious that the BTS member would surprise his fans by releasing content at 12 am KST, so he reassured his fans that they can go straight to bed as that won’t be the case for him.
J-Hope also didn’t forget to thank fans for trending the hashtag #WhereHobiIsWhereHopeIs for his birthday, a play on the lyrics from Sea, the hidden track on the group’s Love Yourself: Her album.
