Connie Beauchamp (Amanda Mealing) has been on a downwards spiral since she was brutally attacked from behind as she made her way to a meeting in Casualty. But she is about to come face to face with the man whos left her terrified of her own shadow.
Connie has been struggling to cope in the wake of the attack, suffering from anxiety and being unable to sleep, and shes far from out of the woods yet. But her attacker is set to be unmasked as he shows up in the ED when he comes in with a friend. How will she cope with the confrontation?
Connies not been coping well – the cracks are showing. Shes not sleeping at all, shes scared of being alone, Amanda Mealing told Inside Soap. It propels her into a deep anxiety.
A patient named Maureen is brought in and appears to recognise Connie, and her shifty behaviour alerts Connie. But then her partner Bill arrives, and Connie realises whats going on through his aggressive behaviour and manner.

Bills late wife had been in end stage cancer, who just wanted to die peacefully, Amanda divulged. However, Bill wanted her to keep fighting despite the fact it was making her weaker and sicker by doing so. He blames Connie for her death – and its through things he says and his hate for her that Connie realises hes her attacker.
The rest of the staff in the ED struggle to believe Connie but eventually Bill admits what he has done.
