Tom Walker slams pathetic Noel and Liam Gallagher for not reuniting at One Love Manchester

Oasis split in 2009 – but Tom says hes kind of done with the Gallagher brothers (Picture: Rex)

Tom Walker has had just about enough of the Oasis will-they-wont-they reunion rumours.

The Cheshire singer/songwriter has torn into Noel and Liam Gallagher in a new interview for not burying the hatchet, citing their failure to reunite at the 2017 One Love Manchester benefit concert as the moment he lost faith in the pair.

Despite being a self-confessed Oasis fan, 2019 BRIT Award-winner Walker told The Sun this week that the Gallagher brothers just need to sort their stuff out.

Its like: “Stop arguing.” Its pathetic at this point. Its so annoying.

Walker then brought up Noel and Liams failure to reconcile in time for One Love Manchester in June 2017, which honoured the victims of the Manchester Arena terrorist attack.

While Liam performed at the Old Trafford gig, Noel didnt – with organisers later clarifying that neither Noel nor Oasis were ever going to perform.

Noel, however, did give his blessing for his songs to be performed at One Love Manchester and donated his royalties from Dont Look Back In Anger to the fundraising efforts. He also later headlined the We Are Manchester gig when the Arena re-opened in September 2017.

Walker, however, was not impressed with their Oasis pairs failure to unite on stage at One Love Manchester.

The Queen of Soul is coming to the small screen.

Cynthia Erivo has been cast as Aretha Franklin in National Geographics upcoming biopic Genius: Aretha.

The anthology series, which has previously depicted the life stories of Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso, will shift its gaze to the late soul legend who passed away in August 2018 at the age of 76.

Genius: Aretha is being billed as the first-ever definitive and authorised series to focus on Franklin and her life in music. The show will, therefore, feature a number of her greatest hits, including I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You), Chain of Fools and Since Youve Been Gone.

The series is set to chronicle Franklins musical genius and incomparable career, and the impact and lasting influence she has had on music and culture around the world, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

As well as recreations of some of her most memorable performances (such as those she gave at the 1998 Grammys and Barack Obamas 2009 inauguration), Franklins important civil rights activism is expected to be covered in the series.

Erivo – who has notably starred in Widows, the Broadway production of The Color Purple and the forthcoming Harriet Tubman biopic Harriet – will perform Franklins songs in the show and, in a statement about the upcoming series, she praised Franklin for long being a source of inspiration for me.

Her strength, passion and soul are evident in her everlasting legacy, not only as a transcendent artist, but as a humanitarian and civil rights icon.

Legendary rock band KISS have probably played every major gig venue in the world at this point in their 45-year career.

But the rock gods are now taking their sound to knew heights, or rather, depths – by performing a gig for great white sharks.

Let us explain.

Gene Simmons and cos upcoming concert will take place on a glass bottom boat near Port Lincoln, South Australia and will raise money for a welfare charity.

The gig has come about after a partnership with Airbnb to promote the travel brands Animal Experiences programmes.

Australia has some of the most shark-infested waters on Earth, with Port Lincoln a popular spot for cage diving with great whites.

Airbnb claim sharks respond to the low-frequency sounds of rock and roll.
