Well this is awkward.
Music rivals Cheryl and Cher Lloyd are set to be going head to head in the music charts after Cher announced she will be releasing her comeback single one week before her former frenemy Cheryl does the same.
The pair butted heads while working together on The X Factor in 2010 as the former Girls Aloud star mentored a then 16-year-old Cher, who wound up placing fourth behind One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle.
After famously declaring You are right up my street to the aspiring singer during auditions, Cheryls working relationship with the young star quickly broke down and a series of direct and indirect catty comments were made. (Namely, Cher claiming she had more chance of winning the lottery than catching up with Cheryl. Ouch.)
Now, their feud looks set to be reignited as their respective musical offerings go head to head in the UK charts.

Cher, now 25, took to Twitter on Tuesday to confirm she would be releasing new music later this week, gushing to her 7.36 million followers: SO excited to announce that my new single is out THIS FRIDAY!! Head to my website and sign up to the mailing list for more news!
The post comes shortly after it was revealed that her former mentor Cheryl, 35, would be releasing her own comeback track, Love Made Me Do It, next Friday.
Coincidence?
However, Cher, who now lives in LA with her husband Craig Monk and their five-month old daughter Delilah-Rae, insisted there was no bad blood between the pair during an appearance on Loose Women earlier this year.
Oh yeah, weve made up ages ago… Id hope to bump into her, yeah. It would be nice to bump into her (while Im in the UK), she smiled.
But everythings fine, there was never really an issue, but it was, yknow, back when I was 16. This gob!
Well get the popcorn out just in case.
