Cheryls new music will show her vulnerable side, with an insight into her personal struggles.
According to her collaborator Naughty Boy, the musician has been writing very personal material that shows the real Cheryl.
Cheryls plight has been a very public one, most recently becoming a single mum to son Bear following her split from Liam Payne, as well as her two high profile divorces.
Producer Naughty Boy told The Daily Star: It is 100% personal and its about time people got to know the real Cheryl.
Naughty Boy dismissed the assumption that Cheryl has songs written for her and explained that she was very involved in penning the tracks on her fifth studio album.
I think when you are writing songs there is a different vulnerability and that comes out through songwriting, so I am proud of her that she got more involved this time and not just as a singer.

The lyrics really mean something to her – sometimes you have to put a bit of heart for people to see that there is a real struggle.
Cheryls last album Only Human was released in 2014.
Since then, she has divorced second husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini and welcomed her first child, before the eventual demise of her relationship with the father, One Direction star Liam.

Im really excited for her, she said. I feel like shes in a great place musically and because weve written everything together it feels so authentic to her.
You can hear lyrically everything in the music. I feel really excited shes been in control of her records this time and were both really proud of what the record weve made for her.
Little is known about Cheryls as-yet-untitled album, only that the first song will apparently be called Love Made Me Do It and thats its a edgy dance track with a swear or three.
