Cheryls return to the charts was one of the most eagerly anticipated pop comebacks of 2018.
However, her song Love Made Me Do It hasnt set the charts alight, and Cheryl isnt going to take mediocre sales over time with her one-year-old son Bear.
The 35-year-old said that if her new single tanked, she would quit music, prioritising time with her son over a pop career.
Speaking to The Guardian, Cheryl said: If it goes in at 80, its time for me to move on with my life. Im not going to jump around working hard and spending time away from my son for that.
The singer added: Is the juice worth the squeeze?
That remains to be seen – Love Made Me Do It failed to crack the UK top ten, and has peaked at number 19 following its release last Friday.

However, Cheryl didnt seem too fussed about getting a number one, despite Jess Glynne snatching her record of most number ones by a UK female solo artist.
The star said: Is it bad if I say that if I get another No 1 thats great, and if I dont thats fine?
Cheryl also shot down any hopes of a Girls Aloud reunion, saying firmly: Its not going to happen – so we may be waiting a while for a Chezza numero uno.
Despite Cheryls heavy promotional schedule, Love Made Me Do It only just scraped into the top 20, while it fell from the Spotify Top 200 after just three days.
However, the video for Love Made Me Do It has been watched 1.7 million times.

Perhaps sales will be boosted after Cheryls performance on this weekends The X Factor.
The former Girls Aloud singer has achieved five number ones since she launched her solo career in 2009, hitting the top spot with Fight For This Love, Promise This, Call My Name, Crazy Stupid Love and I Dont Care.
However, her last single Only Human, released in 2015, only managed to reach number 70.
