Avengers 4 is gearing up to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the decade, with Marvel fans on tenterhooks waiting for the conclusion of the franchise.
But when it comes to one of the heros final lines on set, it wasnt exactly poignant.
Chris Evans has revealed his final line as Captain America was something really dumb – which kind of ruins the majesty of filming for us.
The 37-year-old admitted that his last day on set as Steve Rogers was rather anti-climactic, as due to the nature of reshoots, his last line was really stupid.
Speaking at ACE Comic Con, Chris said: It was something really stupid, it was something really dumb, which I also probably cant give away.
Well, you know, it was reshoots, so youre doing these little picks and pops, and its just little things that they need. It might have been a line to Paul Rudd. He wasnt there, but it was a stupid line.

The line wasnt memorable to me. The day was more memorable than the line.
That dumb line may have been Chriss final ever utterance as Cap, as its heavily rumoured that Avengers 4 will be The First Avengers last appearance.
Evans himself seemed to give weight to the theory that Rogers will be killed off when he appeared to say goodbye to the franchise as reshoots ended.
However, he backtracked while at Comic Con in Chicago, telling the crowd: I should clarify that I know I did tweet something that made a lot of people think that it was in some way a spoiler. I should clarify that regardless of how Avengers 4 ends, I would have tweeted the exact same thing.

That last day of filming was a very emotional day and it was the culmination of almost 10 years of filming and 22 movies, this unbelievable tapestry. You feel a lot more emotions than I think even I thought Id feel. And I felt it was appropriate to share the gratitude.
I know it had a ripple effect but I am neither confirming nor denying anything.
Chris and Robert Downey Jrs contracts are up after Avengers 4, with fans believing one – or both of – the heroes will sacrifice themselves to defeat Thanos.
