Coronation Street is set to air dramatic scenes next week ahead of Kayla Cliftons kidnap of Bethany Platt – when she deliberately causes a car crash. The conniving newcomer has been targeting Craig Tinker as part of her bid to prove her dad Neil is innocent of the crimes he has been jailed for.
As she tries to torment Craig using his OCD, she is out driving with him when she claims that there is a cat in the road causing the car to screech to a halt. Audrey and Gail are just behind and cant stop in time so they end up colliding with the car.
But as Kayla uses this to make Craig believe that it was his OCD rituals, which he has stopped doing, that were keeping them safe, Audrey is suspicious when she learns that Kaylas car is registered to the name Clifton while Bethany does some digging on CCTV and proves that there was never a cat – Kayla lied.

Bethany ends up confronting Kayla at her flat as she is worried about Craig and when she sees a photograph of her posing with Neil, she learns that the monstrous rapist is her dad. Not able to think, Kayla reacts impulsively by smashing a vase over Bethanys head.
Bethany is then held hostage but will she be able to get through to her captor that everything Neil is in prison for is true?
And can Craig come to the rescue before something terrible happens?
