Their romance has slowly been developing for months, and has seen some twists and turns, but unbeknown to each other, Chesney Brown and Gemma Winter are madly in love in Coronation Street.
It survived Gemmas one night stand with Chesneys brother-in-law Tyrone Dobbs, Chesneys mooning over ex-girlfriend Sinead, but most of all, it survived their friendship, which has been hilariously wild. Chesney and Gemma have been circling each other for some time, and when Chesney invites Gemma to the bistro, they might finally be about to find true love.
Gemma is oblivious to fate, though, and when she turns up to the date with her friend Spike in tow, Chesney is mortified. It takes some quick thinking from friendly Emma Brooker to spare his embarrassment, but as she sits down at the table, the date turns into a double date – but Chesney and Gemma are with the wrong people!

The atmosphere is really awkward, and its clear that Emmas got a thing for Chesney, not that he notices – hes wishing it was just him and Gemma. But Gemma goes home with Spike, and Chesney agrees to a second date with Emma, but only after she convinces him its only practice.
While Gemma realises she got off with the wrong guy, Chesneys on his second date, with Emma scoring him on his boyfriend skills and suggesting some improvements. With her ulterior motives barely disguised, will she take things further?
Meanwhile, with Gemma finally accepting that she wants Chesney, how will she react if she discovers him dating Emma?
