Coronation Street fans have tonight watched Eva Price leave for a new life in France with Adam Barlow and baby Susie, having left only a letter explaining her decision to her shocked sisters Leanne Tilsley and Toyah Battersby. But this is not quite the last you have seen of Catherine Tyldesleys popular character.
Crushed at the thought of not seeing his granddaughter again, Johnny Connor reaches out to Eva to try and persuade her to at least come to Aidans inquest. As the difficult day gets underway, Johnny is relieved to see Eva.
Both he and Eva take the stand to give evidence and emotions run high as it becomes clear that Eva and the Connors are united by at least one thing – their love for Aidan and their desire for Susie to be happy.
But as the inquest closes, can they all build bridges? With Eva still insistent to Toyah and Leanne that its best all round if she leaves Weatherfield, her mind has been made up. But as tears flow and Eva prepares to say her final goodbyes, are there more developments still to play out?
