Audrey Roberts has had her life turned upside down as she returned home thinking she had been stood up by Lewis Archer only to find him dead clutching an engagement ring. But when Archies money then disappears from her account, has Lewis committed a final betrayal or was he totally innocent this time?
Gail Rodwell has been warning Audrey not to trust the seemingly reformed con man, who told Audrey that he loved her and wanted to be a better man after handing himself into the police. But when Audrey was stood up when she went to the bistro to meet him, she had to concede that her suspicious daughter was right.
In fact, the truth of the matter is that Lewis dropped dead while picking up an engagement ring to then go and propose to Audrey – but when the money then goes missing, Audrey will be in two minds over whether Lewis genuinely loved her or not.
With Lewis having been seen getting close to a woman and a female then being spotted withdrawing the cash, it certainly seems an open and cut case but theres every chance that Lewis heart is in the right place this time.
