Tracy McDonald could be about to lose her freedom in Coronation Street as she prepares to make a shocking confession to the police about the car crash that led to the death of mobster and drug dealer Ronan.
At the moment, police firmly believe that Abi Franklin sabotaged Michelle Connors car as she was working in league with Ronan. They have made this assumption as Tracy tampered with the car to get Abi into trouble and then stole the laptop containing the incriminating CCTV footage of her act.
On top of that, Abis drugs past isnt helping her case but as Abi faces losing both her liberty and her twin children, Tracy is racked with guilt. Steve is back after being left stranded in a desert by his seething wife back in Morocco.
But as he tries to save their new marriage, he soon discovers the concealed laptop in the flat and confronts Tracy with it. Tracy is unable to lie and so come cleans about the truth to a shocked Steve before declaring that she is going to go to the police and turn herself in.

Given that Tracy has already been inside, the law might not look kindly on her and she could be facing a prison sentence if it is established that the car breakdown was a big factor in the deadly events.
Of course, viewers know that Ronan died after driving at Ryan and Leanne and Ali then finished him off by deliberately pulling out the stake impaling him, causing him to bleed to death.
However, with Tracy oblivious to this darker turn of events, she explains that she cant let Abi take the fall for what could amount to manslaughter. But will Steve agree with Tracy or talk her out of it for Amys sake.
If Tracy does end up inside, could this be her saying goodbye to Coronation Street?
