Coronation Street has aired more heartbreak for the fractured Webster family as Sophie has overheard her dad telling Gina Seddon that he wishes he had never left his son Jack under her care and she has taken it that he blames her for his sons foot being amputated after a sepsis infection.
As the infection spread and treatment didnt work, Kevin was told that the only option was for Jack to have his foot removed and Kevin made the heart wrenching decision. The operation was successful and it stemmed the sepsis and Kevin was even told that in time, Jack could walk again but not play football.

As Sophie continued to blame herself as she was looking after Jack when he fell ill, Gina reached out to Kevin who shared his woes with her, not knowing that Sophie was on the other side of the door listening in.

Could this break Kevin and Sophies relationship or, when the agony starts to lessen, will Kevin see that his daughter is not to blame for what has happened?
In upcoming scenes, Kevin also faces the terrible task of telling Jack what has happened and the young lad breaks down in tears when he learns that he has lost his foot. Kevin tries to stay strong but, later, while along, he breaks down while looking at Jacks football boots.
Can he find the strength to help Jack through this?
