Denis OHare, John Early, Max Casella and Megalyn Echikunwoke have been set to round out the cast of Late Night, the comedy starring Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson. The film written by Kaling and being directed by Nisha Ganatra centers on a late-night talk show host (Thompson) who is at risk of losing her long-running show right when she hires her first female writer (Kaling), who revitalizes her show and her life.
The newcomers join John Lithgow, Hugh Dancy, Reid Scott and Paul Walter Hauser in the cast as principal photography is now underway in New York. Kaling and Howard Klein are producing alongside Imperative Entertainment and FilmNation Entertainment, the latter of which is financing with 30WEST. 30WEST and CAA are handling U.S. rights and FilmNation has international.
OHare, twice nominated for Emmys for American Horror Story and again last year for This Is Us, is now shooting John Crowleys The Goldfinch and is repped by Innovative Artists. Early (TBS Search Party) is repped by UTA and Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment. Casella (Jackie) is with Innovative Artists New York and Ellipsis Entertainment Group. Echikunwoke, next up on the film side in Night School, is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.
