The first teaser trailer for Disney‘s Han Solo film has dropped.
The 45-second teaser introduces us to a young Han Solo, who wants to be ‘a pilot, best in the galaxy’.
Starring Alden Ehrenreich as Han, who was originally played by Harrison Ford, the trailer also gave fans the first look at Donald Glover’s Lando Carlissian and Chewbacca.
Solo will focus on a younger version of the character brought to life by Harrison Ford in the Star Wars films.
Han and Chewbacca will be seen first meeting Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and they will also encounter Woody Harrelson’s alter-ego Beckett, who is believed to be a mentor to young Han who guides him on his journey to becoming a space smuggler.
Solo: A Star Wars story is probably one of the least hyped Star Wars movies ever, with production known to have suffered some devastating set backs in the form of the firing of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the decision to bring on Ron Howard – a trusted but not necessarily exciting director – and the rumours that star Ehrenreich had not impressed LucasFilm, forcing them to bring in an acting coach.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is currently scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018.
