Despacito, as we all know, was quite possibly the biggest song of 2017, with its massive global success having been bolstered by Justin Biebers Spanish-spoken remix.
Clearly the pull of huge English-speaking artists dabbling in a bit of Español results in big, big numbers these days – and it now seems that Drake wants a piece of that particularly succulent pie.
The Toronto rapper has contributed Spanish-spoken vocal parts to Bad Bunnys new single MIA, which is finally out today (12 October).
The track sees Drake and Bad Bunny – who enjoyed a big hit with Cardi B this year on I Like It – going back-and-forth on its melodic hook, with the pair singing: Tell them youre mine, mine / You know youre mine, mine / Youve said it yourself / When we were doing it.

Or, if youre a Spanish speaker: Dile que tú eres mía, mía / Tú sabe que eres mía, mía / Tú misma lo decías / Cuando yo te lo hacía.
Spicy.

Drake seems very at home when speaking the language – so its little surprise to learn that this isnt the stars first foray into flexing a bit of Spanish in a song.
Back in 2014, he showcased his strong handle on the lingo with a feature on the Romeo Santos track Odio.
Could a full Spanish-spoken album of Drake ballads follow in the near future? Wonder what Gods plan is in Spanish…
