EastEnders is lining up intense scenes of revenge after Mick Carter comes face to face with his tormentor Stuart Highway after his release from prison – and he wants him dead! Bu how far will Mick go as the red mist descends. And can he ever forgive Linda for not having faith in him?
At the moment, Mick is languishing in prison accused of shooting Stuart but Stuart has smugly admitted to his former best mate that he put the bullet in himself in order to frame him. It has so far worked a treat, with even Linda seemingly believing the lies.
Mick has endured hell inside the prison walls, with Stuart engineering it so that the top dog gave him a life of hell. And with Linda turning her back on her husband, he has hit rock bottom and has been left facing the very real possibility of years in prison.
While the remaining Carters are refusing to give up hope, Linda has washed her hands of Mick and has even been to meet up with a very smug Stuart – but new filming pictures have confirmed that the tide is about to turn on the villain.

Mick bundles Stuart into the boot of his BMW and speeds off with him bound up inside – so he will get a taste of his own medicine after what he put Tina through. But his payback isnt finished there.
As Mick takes him hostage at a warehouse, Stuart is seen battered and bruised with a gag on him. And as Stuart pushes Micks buttons, true to form, he lashes out and raises a crowbar to strike him down. He is then left seen with his head in his hands, with a source whispering that these are Micks last scenes ahead of his upcoming temporary exit.
Will Stuart be killed and will Mick now face prison for a crime he has actually committed this time? Or will Mick respond to the murder by going on the run, unable to cope with the thought of being inside again?
Or perhaps Stuart lives to sneer another day but Mick will instead drop him in it with the police after he gets a confession out of him? Whatever happens, the showdown is going to be intense and Mick will struggle to keep his emotions in check as he has his day with Stuart.
Whether or not Stuart will survive the encounter remains to be seen but it could well trigger the end for Mick – at least for now. Danny Dyer has taken break from Walford for theatre appearances and will be off screen for a fair number of weeks.

Is Mick in hiding after his violent outburst – or incarcerated once more? The good news at least for fans is that he wont be leaving for good – so hopefully one day in the not too distant future, Stuarts scheme will just be a painful memory.
The showdown scenes will air towards the end of the year.
