EastEnders story editor Ben Wadey appears to have confirmed the soaps plan to introduce a new bisexual character in coming weeks.
The BBC One soap has received praise this year for making more of an active effort to represent the LGBTQ+ community and viewer will be pleased to know there is much more to come.
Taking to Twitter, Ben posted a cryptic message which revealed what fans have to look forward to as the end of the year slowly approaches.
Been great to see all the positive reaction to LGBTQ+ representation on EastEnders recently, and excited for us to have a new B in the show soon, he tweeted.
Fans instinctively understood the B to stand for bisexual and assumed that it meant a new character would be making their way to Walford Square.
Hopefully male as Bi males have always been underrepresented in soap, one follower commented.
Thank you so much for showing the importance of the LGBTQ+, it really shows that Eastenders is a very respectful soap, another added.

The soap recently introduced the first gay bar to Walford as the BBC continues to increase the level of LGBTQ+ inclusion.
It comes after EastEnders producer Kate Oates revealed her mission to improve representation.
Im really interested in bringing some more LGBTQ characters in, the soap boss told The Sun.
