Bob Hope has a moment of selflessness on Emmerdale but soon regrets it.
Bob and Brendas cafe isnt making enough money to support both of them. Bob agreed to stop working at the cafe but doesnt tell Laurel. He feels guilty about all he put Brenda through.
Bob is confident that hell easily get another job. But his lies to Laurel quickly unravel when she drops by the cafe. Brenda takes great delight in telling a clueless, chattering Laurel that Bob no longer works there.
The couples problems are set to escalate next week, though Bob does manage to apologise to Laurel. Tension lingers between the pair even so and Bob makes it worse when he lies, again, about how a job interview went.
Its Nicola who unknowingly helps fix matters between them when she invites Bob, Laurel and all the kids for a camping trip into the woods.
As the kids root around in the woods, drawn by strange noises in the distance, Bob tells Laurel the truth about the interview and soon things are back on track.

But how will Bobs gallant resignation from the restaurant affect the couples finances? Theyre barely scraping by and have many mouths to feed.
