She told us: We have got a wedding at Christmas not going to tell you who but lets just say it will bring a different flavour to the village than youve had before.
And who proposes?
Jane continued: We have a proposal next year between two of our characters – itll be a very romantic proposal but Ill leave you to work out who thats between!
Surely thats got Charity and Vanessa written all over it? Is Vanessa set to make Charity an honest woman?
A journey for Paddy and Marlon – and a discovery
At the moment, Paddy is going through a hell of an ordeal but he is set to go on a journey with his best friend Marlon later on down the line and it leads to a big shock.
Jane teased: We will be sending Paddy and Marlon off on a little adventure, next year around February time. One of them will make quite a big discovery…
Dingles ripped apart
The Dingles have gone through a terrible year with Charitys devastating past being ripped open again, Debbie fearing that she will lose Sarah and Chas and Paddy saying goodbye to baby Grace – but there is more agony ahead for the clan.
Jane warned: We have got huge rifts coming up in the Dingle clan that will blow apart two of our most loved characters and who knows if they will ever get back to where they used to be?

International Womens Day special
Jane revealed: Were doing something rather special on 8th March, International Womens Day. Now weve got two female producers and a female executive producer – it is the first time a soap has had an all female team. Now dont get me wrong, I love men, Im a big fan of men, Im frantically on Tinder and Bumble all the time so if anyones got any dating tips, let me know!
But we are going to have an episode that is produced by a female, directed by a female and written by a female. The entire cast will be female including all the background artists and we will have almost an entire female crew!
She added jokingly with a wink to Andrew Scarborough: What they dont realise is that well be giving some of the men the “traditional” female roles for the day so well all be bringing our kids in for them to look after! Were really excited to be doing it and recognising International Womens Day and do our bit for it.
