Tom Waterhouse is on a mission to win Debbie Dingle’s forgiveness after his betrayal in relation to the golf course plans comes to light in Emmerdale – but has he pushed her away forever? Fans have been aware that Tom has been secretly scheming to use the Dingles’ land on which to kick off his golf course project and Debbie has been oblivious to his ulterior motives.
Her family meanwhile have been fighting tooth and nail to keep their home as Morris has worked to wear them down. The battle has even made Zak ill but he continues to refuse to give it up without a fight, with Sam and Lydia taking drastic action that leads to them being arrested.
Meanwhile, Debbie starts working for Tom but she has her suspicions after Sam and Lydia’s arrest. She broaches the subject with a cagey Tom and he assures her that he will sort their situation out for them. Later, Debbie is asked to counter-sign some seemingly innocent paperwork only to then realise with horror the ramifications of what she has done.

As she is hit with an enormous betrayal from Tom, she is devastated and in the wake of her realisation, Tom is trying to pull out all of the stops to try and win her round.
He turns up at the cottage to talk with her but her anger with him is clear. He explains that the deal was underway before he ever met her and insists that it’s just business but Debbie throws him out, with Charity just as furious with Tom’s behaviour.
But smooth talking Tom is a wily character – and he isn’t about to give up so easily. Can he charm Debbie and win her back round – and if so, are his feelings for her genuine or is he set to break her trust all over again?
