Some of the biggest K-pop stars performed at a concert in Dubai that drew an estimated 15,000 fans.
The SMTown Live World Tour VI, a joint concert of SM Entertainment artists, was held at the Autism Rocks Arena.
Participating artists included EXO, NCT, Red Velvet, Girls Generation, TVXQ, SHINee, Super Junior, Kangta, BoA, f(x) and Henry.
This is the first time that the SMTown joint concert was held in the Arab region and K-pop stars enjoyed their stay in Dubai.
“It was our dream to perform in the UAE. We really wanted to come to UAE the most,” said Super Juniors leader Leeteuk at a press conference for the concert, according to Gulf News.
He added they want to come to Dubai for another reason, not just the gig concert.
I dont want us to be limited to being artists who come to Dubai just for a concert. We want more chances to show up here, be it for a television drama, a musical or even DJing. We want more experience. Who is there willing to give us a chance? he said.
