This summer has seen some of the UKs best weather in decades, but you wouldnt have known it at Reading Festival this weekend.
Clouds formed, the sun went in and revellers were drenched by rain that didnt let up for much of the three day extravaganza.
Still, the music was pretty good and headliners Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Panic at the Disco! and Kings of Leon kept the mud-bathed masses entertained from night to night.
Some older fans had bemoaned the lack of heritage rock acts on the bill this year, but the traditional post-GCSE blowout boasted one of the most diverse line-ups in the festivals history.
Every genre from hip-hop (Travis Scott) to pop (Dua Lipa) to punk (Shame) to dance (Bicep) was well-represented by musics most exciting new talent.

By the end of the party though, seemingly every glitter-covered teen was also layered with a thick covering of mud.
Taking advantage of the slippery conditions, a whole gang of youngsters whipped out toboggans, trays and mats in order to slide across the muddy cesspit.
One (un)lucky lad even appeared to slide his way to the exits while still attached to his tent.
Needless to say, he was also wearing only boxers shorts, socks and a pair of one-eyed sunglasses…

Others – less keen to take a dip in the filthy swamp – watched on and laughed.
For the most part though, the teens leaving Little Johns Farm on Monday morning (27 August) looked entirely broken.
Rain macs on and backpacks aloft, a stream of disgruntled punters exited the festival area – all very much ready for a bath and a nap.
