Former Seattle Seahawks player Jeremy Lane accepted a plea deal on Monday for amended charges of reckless driving instead of driving under the influence, TMZ reported Monday.

At the time of the arrest, Lane reportedly told police he had smoked marijuana several hours earlier.

“This time I was more high than anything,” the player allegedly shared during his arrest.

Lane was taken into custody and booked for driving under the influence. He was released on bail four hours later.

On March 12, he was charged with the DUI by the King County Prosecuting Attorneys Office. On Monday, he accepted the amended charges of reckless driving.

Lane is scheduled to be sentenced May 7. He is facing up to a year behind bars and a fine of up to $5,000.

The cornerback was drafted in the sixth round by the Seahawks in 2012 and was released earlier this month after being released by the team.
