Avengers star Scarlett Johansson was left frightened after paparazzi are thought to have become dangerously close as she left a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
An LAPD spokesperson confirmed that the actress was jostled by a crowd of cameramen outside the theatre on Hollywood Boulevard but was not injured.
She was given a police escort and taken to a local LAPD station but she did not file a police report.
NBC reporter Robert Kovacik confirmed the reports, tweeting that the 34-year-old star was now home safe.
Scarlett had spent the evening at a taping of the nightly chat show with her Marvel co-stars with Roberty Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Paul Rudd.
The four have kicked off the Avengers: Endgame press tour, a year after Infinity War hit cinemas, and on Sunday things suddenly got real when the cast left empty chairs for the fallen heroes.

After Jon Favreau, who plays Happy in the MCU, introduced the cast, onlookers were greeted with an incredibly sparse offering, with empty chairs filling up the stage, representing the characters we lost at the end of Infinity War.
