Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx might just have one of the coolest bromances in Hollywood.
Its been almost 10 years since the pair starred together in critically-acclaimed thriller, Law Abiding Citizen, and theyre finally reuniting in the upcoming comedy All Star Weekend.
While fans last saw the pair share the screen a decade ago, Gerard, 48, still thinks highly of his co-star.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk while promoting his latest movie Hunter Killer, Gerard said: I got to see a whole different side of him because he wrote this script for this crazy funny basketball movie called, All Star Weekend, and he got Robert Downey Jr in it, Benicio Del Toro, but he was also directing.
Recalling the comical way Jamie persuaded Gerard to sign up for All Star Weekend, the actor said: He has this crew of comedy writers and he calls me up, three days before and he goes, “Gerry, man you gotta help me out, Ill DJ at your birthday, Ill wash dishes, Ill cook your food but you gotta help me out”.

So he asked me to play this crazy, psychotic Russian drug dealer. So in three days I learned to put on this Russian accent, well, some might call it a Russian accent, and turn up with pages of dialogue and improvise everything.
The comedy promises to be just as wacky as Jamies sense of humour judging by a behind-the-scenes clip of him and Gerard playing basketball, which showed the comic actor wearing a pretty awful wig.
A testament to their close friendship, Gerard jokingly captioned the video: Watch my brother @IAmJamieFoxx being schooled by a Scotsman.
Showing love for his co-star, Gerard told us: But I had such a blast because he makes that whole situation on that set incredibly fun. It could have been a nightmare but hes always thinking, “try this, do this”, very appreciative. Hes one of the most incredible people Ive ever met, Jamie Foxx. In every way, as a charitable soul, in terms of his talent in so many different areas. Hes quite the guy.
All Star Weekend is set for release on 22 February 2019 while Hunter Killer, also starring Gary Oldman and Common, hits cinemas on Friday 19 October.
