Armenian football boss Ruben Hayrapetyan has fueled speculation that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to leave Manchester United this January.
Mkhitaryan, 28, had a barnstorming start to the 2017/18 campaign, registering five assists in his opening three Premier League games, but the midfielder has struggled for game-time under Jose Mourinho in recent months.

Reports suggest the Red Devils are ready to let Mkhitaryan leave Old Trafford and are offering the Armenian to Arsenal in exchange for Alexis Sanchez.
It’s understood Inter Milan are very keen on the midfielder and former club Borussia Dortmund are also interested in bringing him back to the Westfalenstadion.
Asked about Mkhitaryan’s future, Armenia football chief Hayrapetyan told Public Radio of Armenia: ‘I talked to Henrikh on the phone, but I don’t want to make any comments.
‘The coach-player relations can often worsen or improve. There is no need in intervening with their working process.
‘Should he fail to regain his place at Manchester United, he can play in any other world-class club.
‘He will never remain on the bench, because he is a professional and diligent player and will always have a place in the main squad.’
