With the NFL Draft less than a week a way, Las Vegas has already come out with next years Super Bowl odds.
The New England Patriots are currently the favorites to win the Super Bowl, at +600. New England lost in last years big game, having participated in three of the last four, including two championships. With questions surrounding Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowskis status with the team, their odds could very easily fluctuate moving forward.
According to Bovada.com, the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles have the second best odds of any team, +850. Philadelphia will look to be the first team since the Patriots back in 2003-04 and 2004-05 to repeat as Super Bowl champs. They have a good shot with most of their team returning intact depending on the health of starting quarterback Carson Wentz.
The Vikings, Rams and Steelers rank third through fifth in odds to win the big game. Minnesota was one win away from becoming the first team to play in the Super Bowl in their own stadium, but got dismantled by the Eagles. They signed Kirk Cousins in free agency and hope he can carry the team, with a whopping $91 million guaranteed over three years.
Los Angeles will probably be a hot pick to win it all after a year of exceeding expectations, combined with a number of marquee offseason acquisitions. The Rams won the NFC West last year behind rookie head coach Sean McVay and second year quarterback Jared Goff. They signed Ndomukong Suh, Aquib Talib and traded for Marcus Peters this spring.
Pittsburgh has not made any major changes but still appears to have one of the most dynamic offenses in the NFL.
In somewhat of a surprising twist, the San Francisco 49ers came in with the sixth best odds to win the Super Bowl in 2019, above recently perennial playoff contenders like Green Bay, New Orleans and Atlanta.
The New York Jets have the longest odds to win the Super Bowl, +10,000.
