Before the last boys were rescued from a cave in Thailand yesterday, Hollywood producers had already started plotting how they could make money off the mission.
While many may have thought this will make a great film someday that day is apparently a lot closer than we could have thought, after it was suggested movie pundits landed in Thailand days ago to assess just how they could turn the narrowly-avoided tragedy into big bucks.
It has been claimed that before the last children were saved and the others were reunited with their family, a US film crew had already set up shop at the foothills of the Tham Luang mountain, in which 12 boys and their football coach were trapped for over two weeks.
According to AAP, two producers were on the ground and already conducting preliminary interviews as they plotted a no-doubt dramatic movie project about the deadly rescue mission.

Pure Flix films managing partner Michael Scott told AAP in Chiang Rai, where the cave was situated: I see this as a major Hollywood film with A-list stars.
Scott and co-producer Adam Smith also planned to bring in a screenwriter and interview not only the Thai Navy SEALS and international cave diving rescuers, but the victims and their families in an exclusive deal.
It has everything a Hollywood action movie usually provides: a daring rescue mission, despair, unforgiving terrain…
However, it seemed they just couldnt wait until all the boys were confirmed safe and sound on the other side.
Thats not lost on the producer, however, as Scott justified their arrival as being against some stiff competition and not having time on their side in landing a story like this.
He said: Theres going to be other production companies coming in so we have to act pretty quickly.
His film company is touted as one that producers inspirational stories, which he wanted to stress, as the film looked set to focus on the two British divers, John Volenthan and Rick Stanton who first discovered the team.

Scott said: Ive told them once this has died down lets really sit down and have a more in-depth interview on whats really happening.
