Colby was left stunned by ex Chelseas sudden arrival in Summer Bay a few weeks ago, and tensions were high as the two police officers adjusted to working together. But it looks like the pair are back on the right track, as their romance re-ignites.
After hearing about his shocking behaviour in the past, Chelsea is unsure whether she can commit to him. Learning that Dean went to prison for a crime he was involved in and knowing that he and Willow have been up to no good in the Bay leaves her struggling, especially as she has a strong sense of right and wrong.
Colby hands Chelsea her old engagement ring, from when the pair were previously due to be wed, leaving the decision up to her.
Much to his delight, Chelsea decides to move past his troubled backstory and be with him. She gives him the ring back, asking him to give her a romantic proposal.
