Ian Wright joked he felt ‘sick’ as Alexis Sanchez prepared to make his Manchester United debut against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup.
Four days after completing a stunning move to Old Trafford, Sanchez was named in United’s starting line-up for the fourth round clash at Huish Park.
Arsenal fans have been resigned to losing Sanchez for a number of months, with the Chilean refusing to sign a new contract and attracting interest from Manchester City and United.

And ahead of his first appearance for the Red Devils, former Arsenal and England striker Wright told BBC: ‘There’s a bit of sick in my mouth about that one! But it’s done.
‘It’s a shame to see but it’s a new chapter for him. It’s too fresh – it still hurts. Jose Mourinho has taken another great player from Arsenal which is disappointing.’
Sanchez’s move to the Theatre of Dreams – which was wrapped up as Arsenal secured a deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan – made him the highest paid player in England.
But Alan Shearer, the Premier League’s all-time leading goalscorer, believes United have completed a fine piece of business.
‘We have to accept that [the money involved],’ he said. ‘It is only going to get bigger. The Neymar deal increased transfer fees, increased wages for everyone.
‘It is an incredible amount of money but believe it or not it is a good deal for Manchester United. He hasn’t gone for the money. He could have sat tight for two or three months and got more money in the summer.’

Asked what Chile international Sanchez will bring to United, Shearer added: ‘He’ll bring a guile and experience – it’s a coup for United to sign him.
‘Particularly as their neighbours wanted him. He’ll bring goals and assists. He will improve United.’
