Richard Madden wants to switch things up and play a supporting role to a female 007.
The Bodyguard actor might currently be a James Bond favourite to succeed Daniel Craig – but it seems he has his own ideas.
When asked if he would be down for playing the British spys love interest, he told Vogue: Absolutely – if it was a good part.
Even though the part has always been taken up by a woman, he continued: If it was an interesting part, a “Bond boy” would be an interesting dynamic. Why not?.
This will definitely keep the rumour mill spinning as the former Game Of Thrones star is heavily speculated to be the new 007.
But while appearing on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January, he attempted to pour all the cold water on those rumours.

When asked if he would be the next Bond, he remained coy, replying: Lots of people talk, its just talk…
Im just happy to be here, this is a mad dream for me!
So he gave away absolutely nothing…
Richards name has been in the Bond mix for over a year, alongside Idris Elba, Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston.
Maybe it is time he is seriously considered as a Bond boy for a Jane Bond perhaps?
