Feeling blue? Go see JT.

Justin Timberlakes second night at Londons O2 as part of his Man Of The Woods tour was a roller coaster of emotions. Just days before, ticket holders were left devastated when they realised theyd have to miss the England World Cup semi final because of the gig. But he quickly remedied that by revealing hed cancelled his support act and would be showing the game in the arena for fans to enjoy. Fans didnt even care it meant he started at 9.40pm. and finished after 11.30pm.

Then, on the night there came the devastating loss, which left the entire audience deflated and contemplating whether to pack up and go home. After that he knew he had more hard graft to do than Dr Alex trying to find a suitable match in the villa.

But Justin did what he had to do and brought the party – no one left. The O2 went from a place of crushing defeat to one of utter euphoria within minutes.

He kicked things off with a laser show and Filthy, from the new album, and from the outset worked to get the crowd jumping, telling them to shake your British ass, while flipping his mic and shining lights on the crowds.

For anyone whos not seen him live – his dance moves are a sight to behold in the flesh, especially when hes singing at the same time too.

The stage was set out so that there was a pathway, lined with woods that reached right the way through the audience, and JT made it his mission to include every single one of his fans throughout his whole performance. Not one single song was played in its entirety from the main stage, he used the entire set up the whole way through.

And for Senorita he began facing the back wall, where a load of fans sat and could have easily missed out.

This ones for you! he shouted at them, before serenading them with the 2002 classic.

He also never left the stage – even when lights went down where any other artist would pop off for a quick costume change, Justin remained where his fans could see him.

The whole performance was an adventure; as well as the expected singing and dancing, at one point there was quite an epic drum off, and at another he brought out a mixer board and performed a tease of Cry Me A River that had the crowd riled up. He knew how to play them.

Then, just when we felt we knew what was going on, some grass sprang up on one side of the stage, and JT cracked out a campfire.

His vocals did occasionally seem to take a backseat because there was so much else going on, he was dancing, playing piano, and creating master pieces on the sound board – but not that they were compromised in any way. In fact even when he was flat out dancing his vocals were still on point, there were just times we wanted to hear more of them.

Another crowd pleaser was that Justin went for a mix of new and old music, and even with the unknown songs people were up out of their seats and having a good time.

The moral of this story is to always have Justin Timberlake around when something truly terrible happens. Hell pick you up and have you smiling before you can say Cry Me A River.
