Kang Daniel only created his Instagram account yesterday, yet already he is breaking records.

The Wanna One idol became the fastest person to reach 1 million followers on Instagram after opening an individual account on 2 January.

The 22-year-old managed to rack up 1 million followers in just 11 hours, beating the previous record of 12 hours set by Pope Francis on 19 March, 2016.

Impressive.

A day after creating his account, @ThisIsDaniel_K, Kang Daniel has 1.2 million followers, and thats without being verified.

Instead of a picture of himself as a profile pic, Daniel chose to upload a photo of his cat, and the latest video of his pet, with the caption: Just give me human #my #kitty has been viewed nearly 600,000 times in two hours.

Kang Daniels first upload was a selfie, greeting his followers, while he later wished his fans happy new year with a selfie from an airplane.

He has also shared a photo of himself after receiving an award at the MBC Entertainment Awards last year.
