As deadly wildfires have raged through California, destroying more than 10,000 homes up and down the state, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had the luxury of hiring a private firefighting force to battle flames surrounding their $60 million mansion outside Los Angeles, TMZ reported.
On Thursday evening, the Woolsey Fire forced Kardashian to pack up and evacuate the couples Hidden Hills home within an hour.
On Friday afternoon, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star shared on Twitter that the flames had reached their property but said they “are more contained and have stopped at the moment.” She added: “It doesnt seems like it is getting worse right now, I just pray the winds are in our favor.”
I heard the flames have hit our property at our home in Hidden Hills but now are more contained and have stopped at the moment. It doesnt seems like it is getting worse right now, I just pray the winds are in our favor. God is good. Im just praying everyone is safe

Because she and her rapper husband have the means, they were able to hire a private team of firefighters whose quick work saved their home, TMZ reported.
But the private firefighters also are being credited with saving other homes in the neighborhood, TMZ added. Thats because Kardashian and Wests home sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and borders a field — meaning if their home went up in flames, it would start “a domino effect” that would endanger nearby homes, TMZ said.
The team dug a number of ditches to create a fire break around the house. Neighbors told TMZ they were thankful the couple had put up the money to bring in the firefighters to save all their homes.
Kim Kardashians sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, also had to evacuate their homes in nearby Calabasas. Khloe Kardashian tweeted Friday she had to quickly leave with her six-month-old daughter True.
I just left with the clothes on my back but I think I packed Trues entire bedroom and closet into my car obviously shes all that matters to me

Meanwhile, their former stepparent Caitlyn Jenner nearly lost her hilltop home when the Woolsey Fire roared south into Malibu.
The fire, however, didnt spare the homes of Miley Cyrus, Neil Young and Gerard Butler. Early Monday morning, Cyrus tweeted that her Malibu home — a $2.5 million mansion she purchased with her fiance, Liam Hemsworth, in 2016 — had been destroyed.
Completely devestated by the fires affecting my community. I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & thats all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for

As of Tuesday morning, the fire had spread to more than 96,000 acres with 35 percent containment. Up to 435 structures had been destroyed and 200,000 people evacuated. Mandatory evacuation orders still were in place Tuesday morning for Hidden Hills, Calabasas, Malibu, Bell Canyon and Topanga.
On Sunday, Kim Kardashian, her sisters and mother Kris Jenner had sufficiently recovered from their ordeal to appear at the Peoples Choice Awards where they accepted the award for Best Reality TV show, the Daily Mail reported. They dedicated their award to those on the front lines of Californias fires.

“We would like to dedicate this win to all of the firefighters, police offers, and first responders,” Kim said after she, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall Jenner and Kris Jenner made their way to the podium.
“As horrible as this has been, its been amazing to see the spirit of everyone involved,” Kim Kadashian told the audience.
“So anything that we can do to help the many organizations — no form of help is too small. We must continue to reach out and help each other in these trying times,” she concluded.
