Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are reuniting for their sixth film together as they take on adapted feature Killer Of The Flower Moon.

The film is based on the New York Times bestselling book of the same name, and centres on a series of murders members of the Osage Nation in Oklahoma.

This venture will mark the sixth time the director and Oscar-winning actor collaborate; having previously worked together on Gangs of New York (2002), The Aviator (2004), The Departed (2006), Shutter Island (2010) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).

The rights of Killer Of The Flower Moon were acquired in 2016 with both Scorsese and DiCaprio expressing interest in the project.

Scorsese said: When I read David Granns book, I immediately started seeing it – the people, the settings, the action – and I knew that I had to make it into a movie.

Killer Of The Flower Moon is set in the 1920s and follows a community of the worlds richest who discovered oil beneath their land.

Following the discovery, members of the Osage Nation were killed off one by one, under suspicious circumstances – and those who dared investigate the murders were too murdered.

The newly-created FBI then took up the case in the hopes of unravelling the mystery.
