Not ready for Christmas music yet? Neither is Mariah Carey.
The 48-year-old singer has revealed she follows a rule not to play or listen to holiday songs until after Thanksgiving, taking place this Thursday.
The superstar appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday where she admitted that she spends most of the winter season singing the song, so is in no rush to get it going too early.
She said to host Jimmy: I have this rule where I try to get through Thanksgiving. I dont like when people rush it because once I start I dont stop until after New Year.
According to the Economist, All I Want for Christmas Is You has netted in over £60m of royalties making it one of the highest grossing Christmas jingles ever.

On The Tonight show Carey also revealed her surprise over her 2001 Glitter album re-entering the charts, scooping the No. 1 slot on iTunes.
She laughed: [Glitter] almost ruined my life and now #JusticeforGlitter is a movement.

She continued: Whoever thought it was going to get to number one all these years later? But it is a good album.
The Caution singer attributed the success of the album to her fans, who she said began the campaign because she never plays it at her live shows.
Glitter, which was released in 2001, was met with a lukewarm reception at the time and is widely considered to be one of Careys worst albums.
