Marvel bosses have kept very tight-lipped on what we can expect from Brie Larsons Captain Marvel adventure, which will hit cinemas next year.
But producer Kevin Feige has revealed the superhero origin story will be very different to anything fans have seen before.
And we have so many questions.
It takes place in the 1990s and while it is an origin story of our hero, it is a very different type of origin story which were excited to unveil to audiences, he told Variety about the upcoming film.
Brie Larson does a tremendous job. Sam Jackson is a very different version of Nick Fury, does an amazing job, the entire cast — this one is very different and very exciting.
While the producer didnt give us any more glimpses into Captain Marvel, he did reveal he had given a Deadpool / MCU crossover some thought – when asked if Ryan Reynolds character had survived Thanos snap.

The question playing on all our minds
The mergers not done. What I will say is, for years and years the dream has been to have access to as many of our characters back, so we could tell those stories at Marvel Studios, he replied cryptically.
If and when that happens Ill be very excited. We have ideas just going back from 18 years, but nothing specific.
Marvel fans got their first teaser of the new female superhero earlier this year, in a sneaky post-credits scene at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.
Ahead of Avengers 4, which will be out next April, a new fan theory has hinted Bries character died when Thanos snapped his fingers, and killed half the universe.
We know that Captain Marvel – which releases before the Avengers sequel – will be set in the 1990s but a reddit user has suggested her post-credits scene could take place in the modern day, and will see her disintegrating to dust as she receives the page that Nick Fury sent at the end of Infinity War.
A brain-melting theory, but it could just work.

They explained: This sets up more hype for Avengers 4 and subverts audience expectations as everyone is expecting Captain Marvel to swoop into Avengers 4 and save the day.

This also lends the story to be more core-Avengers focused and have it be up to them to save the day.
I believe Captain Marvel will still be in Avengers 4, possibly after the original Avengers reverse the snap, but she will not be a major player for the majority of the film.
Were guessing all questions will be answered when Captain Marvel is released on 8 March, 2019.
