The mid-credits and post-credits scenes in the Marvel films are as gripping as the films themselves, so naturally, everyone is wondering what Avengers 4 will have in store when the credits roll.
And one Marvel fan has a particularly devastating theory about what well see.
A Reddit user named ZeromusPrime has suggested that instead of a tease for the next film – as Avengers 4 is the final installment in the franchise – we will see Captain Americas epitaph.
Yep, that twinge you felt was your heart shattering.
ZeromusPrime shared a black card with the epitaph: Steve Rogers, 1919-2019, and wrote: Imagine if instead of Avengers 4 having a mid-credits scene, it just had…this.
We wouldnt put it past the Russo brothers, considering they killed off half of our heroes at the end of Infinity War.

Chris Evans contract as Captain America/Steve Rogers ends after Avengers 4 – alongside stars including Robert Downey Jr – sparking speculation that the First Avenger will sacrifice himself in the film.
The actor himself drummed up the idea when he appeared to say goodbye to Marvel as reshoots ended.
The 37-year-old tweeted: Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.

However, he backtracked on the goodbye while at ACE Comic Con, telling fans: I should clarify that I know I did tweet something that made a lot of people think that it was in some way a spoiler. I should clarify that regardless of how Avengers 4 ends, I would have tweeted the exact same thing.
That last day of filming was a very emotional day and it was the culmination of almost 10 years of filming and 22 movies, this unbelievable tapestry.
You feel a lot more emotions than I think even I thought Id feel. And I felt it was appropriate to share the gratitude. I know it had a ripple effect but I am neither confirming nor denying anything.

Lets hope it isnt Caps last stand – because Chriss final line on set was pretty anti-climactic.
