There are big changes coming to the MCU as we know it – well more-so than half the actual universe being clicked out of existence.
In fact, it seems that Marvel Studios are planning to do what many have suspected for quite a while – introduce new superheroes.
This would move the cinematic universe beyond the Avengers arc – which has had Iron-Man, Captain America and Thor at its heart – it has been following.

He explained the thinking behind that direction, saying: We want people from any background to be able to look at that screen and see themselves reflected, and just as importantly to have different types of people be inspired by people who dont look like them, or people who have different backgrounds than them, and let them inspire them going forward.

More: Marvel
And, we can expect to see more characters from a spectrum of backgrounds, as Feige also recently said that there would be more LGBTQ+ additions to the universe beside that of Tessa Thompsons Valkyrie.
Like Ms. Marvels possible introduction it makes perfect sense for Marvel to wrap-up the Infinity Stones/Thanos Arc before embarking on a new push with an expanding (or changing) core range of heroes.
