Were six movies in to the Mission: Impossible franchise, but the high-octane spy series shows no signs of slowing down.
In fact, Mission: Impossible has just enjoyed its best-ever opening weekend at the box office.
Fallout, the latest entry, opened in the UK and US last week and has amassed £117 million ($153.5 million) globally so far.
In the United States, it racked up £46.8 million ($61.5 million) – a record for an opening weekend take.
MI6 represents the third best opening weekend of star Tom Cruises career.
Only War of the Worlds (£49.4 million) and Austin Powers in Goldmember (£55.7 million) got off to faster starts.
Cruise turned 53 earlier this month, but he isnt letting age stop him in his tracks.
Impressively, he still does his own stunts despite undergoing a nasty injury while shooting Fallout last summer.
The Hollywood heavyweight was reportedly left with two broken bones in his ankle after a roof jump stunt went wrong.

In a widely circulated video, Cruise can be seen attached to a rigging and jumping off scaffolding.
The sequence doesnt end well and Tom falls short, hitting the buildings side.
However, Cruise is nothing if not a consummate professional.
Speaking at the US premiere, he revealed he knew instantly his ankle was broken but wanted to finish the scene anyway.
It was a hard hit, and I was trying to mitigate the hit, he told USA Today.

I thought, “Well, Im just going to touch my foot,” and I just kept it there for, really, a split-second too long, to try to soften the impact of the side of the wall.
I was like, “Its broken, I know its broken, just keep going and run past the camera so that we have the shot.” That was the first thing I thought: Just get through the shot.
Now thats what you call an action hero.
