There is a lot to get excited about for Neighbours 8,000th episode, not least because all of the celebrations wont be taking place in just one episode – there are big things coming way into the new year.
But one thing were not looking forward to are the deaths set to rock the cul-de-sac. Yes, deaths, thats multiple.
Toadie is set to learn that his neighbour, Valerie Grundy has passed away. She lived on the street for over three decades and when Toadie visits her house after her death he discovers shes secretly been hoarding mementos from residence past and present.
Toadie is saddened by how little he knew this woman who seemed to know everyone so well.
Grundy is a nod to original Neighbours creator Reg Grundy, who died in 2016.
Now heres the heartbreaking bit – Valerie is not the well-loved character whos set to die around the 8,000th episode, so be prepared for some even bigger heartbreak, as confirmed by Stefan Dennis, who plays Paul Robinson.

Stefan told metro.co.uk that whatever happens to our beloved character, its set to be explosive. And we all know that in Neighbours, that usually really does mean explosive. Who else will die?
