This Christmas theres a very special guest popping up to visit Paul Robinson – made extra special by the fact hes been dead for 25 years.
Jim Robinson, AKA Hollywood actor Alan Dale, will be back in Ramsay Street to visit his son over the festive period in a very special role reprisal, despite the fact he died of a heart attack in 1993 on the kitchen floor.
He swore hed never come back, Alan Dale told metro.co.uk. And now hes never say never. There was a bit of bad blood, a bit of water under the bridge that wasnt so good, but we got to him.
Alan had previously refused to return over a feud with producers back in the 90s which led to him leaving the show.
Speaking of who actually convinced him to come back, Stefan confessed he was responsible.

It was actually me and Jason [Herbison]. Hes a close friend of mine, he said.
Although he said hed never asked Alan back before, he said now felt like the right time and he was surprised when Alan finally agreed.
He said “I cant Stef my character is dead” and I said “Its a soap!”
But he and actress Annie Jones are keeping schtum on the exact details of his return for now, but we know its going to be a goodun. Still crossing our fingers for that Bouncer return.
