At last, Arie Luyendyk, Jr. has answered the question that was on nobody’s mind: Will his spurned ex-fiancée Rebecca Kufrin, whom he dumped on television, be invited to his wedding?
No, no she will not.
What’s the opposite of America’s sweetheart? That’s what Arie singlehandedly turned himself into during The Bachelor’s After the Final Rose episode, which followed an episode that saw him propose to his then-fiancée and then break up with her in a drawn-out, unedited segment that showed just how blindsided Becca felt. On After the Final Rose, Arie and host Chris Harrisonattempted some damage control, and that’s been Arie’s tone at public appearances ever since: acting contrite while also showing how many feet he can stuff in his mouth at once.
In an US Weeklyinterview with Arie and his new fiancée Lauren Burnham, the couple dished about their plans for their wedding, saying they’d thought of doing a televised ceremony “if that worked in our timeline,” or perhaps just eloping. As far as details go, the couple are hoping for a sunset wedding, or even something at night, with “good lighting.”
And the guests? “We’ve thrown a lot of ideas out there, but I think I would like to have some of my friends from the show there,” Lauren said, and Arie agreed. “Yes, I wouldn’t mind,” he said, and then joked, “And just tell Becca she’s not invited.”
Surely, she must be devastated.
